How to Be More Positive:7 keys to Improving Self-Confidence

If you want to be successful, then must have self-confidence. Without self-esteem, there are very minimal chances that you will achieve your goals. It is for this reason that I found it useful to share the various tips on how you can improve your self-confidence.

Most of the methods I’m going to highlight will hypnotherapy based. Well, a low esteem is caused by a negative self-image in the subconscious mind. To get your self-esteem back this can only be altered if you find the roots of all these problems.

Most people have a perception that confidence is all about what you know about something. There are some elements of truth that when you are familiar with something you will be slightly confident. However, confidence is defined as a state of the mind where there is minimal resistance to the things you want to achieve.

Did you know that your subconscious mind is already familiar with everything you would wish to achieve? Finding it hard to believe me? Take an initiative and learn a thing or two about people with split personalities, you will discover that their ego has won the battles on things that they didn’t even know anything about.

What I mean by this is that, for instance when you acquire a new skill you do it in such a way as if its something that was already in your brain and waited for you to exploit your potential. That’s how the subconscious mind works when you learn a new skill. You tend to clear any negative beliefs that you might have concerning that particular skill.

If you want to build up confidence then it becomes necessary to eliminate any negative beliefs you had implanted in your subconscious mind. Most of these beliefs developed in our childhood and they prevent us from reaching your true potential.

My method will walk you through the various ways in which you can clear these beliefs that are limiting you from being the best. Its high time you gain the much-needed confidence and let it work wonders for you.

  1. The mirror technique

You have definitely heard of this, right? Well, when you say something positive about yourself when facing the mirror will increase your confidence level.

To some people, this sounds weird but it works on the basic principle that if you say positive things about yourself while looking straight into your eyes, it is like you are talking to your subconscious mind directly. The positive words eliminate the initial negative believes.

Next time you get a chance to look at yourself in the mirror, look into the eyes of the person you see right in front of you and say positive things that will increase your confidence level.

  1. Repetition

The major reason why most people don’t prosper and utilize their full potential is largely due to the fact that they don’t repeat the skill. Ever heard of practice makes perfect? This is where it comes to us.

For your subconscious mind, once is enough to send strong signals that you are capable of a certain skill. However, it takes time to perfect it and the only way in which you can gain perfection is through repetition.

This applies even to the method you might be using to increase your confidence, no matter how effective this particular method might be if you don’t take an initiative and do it on a regular basis then there are high chances that it won’t work.

Even with the mirror technique, not unless you do it adequately you shall not get the results that you desire. With repetition, it changes the inner beliefs which are not always a stroll in a park.

  1. Visualization

Here is a fact that most people don’t know; the inner mind is unable to differentiate between what is just imaginary and what is real. The subconscious mind has the luxury to differentiate between the two and this is where visualization becomes a powerful tool if you want to get your confidence levels up.

By using creative visualization you get a chance to change the way you see yourself. The long-term effect of this is high confidence.

Visualize images that represent the person you would like to become and your inner self will believe that it is attainable.

With proper visualization, you will manage to change what your subconscious mind believes about yourself. This positivity, on the other hand, helps create a strong brand image that will in return increase your confidence levels.

  1. Self-talk

This is not the first time I am saying this and if you have been following my post recently you can attest to this. Things that you say to yourself have a strong impact on what your inner mind believes.

It is natural for someone to say negative things about themselves whenever something bad happens to them. “I’m such a loser and will never lose weight” I know that I will mess it up again” I have a poor memory”. On a neutral view, one would think that such thoughts have no effect on our lives. What we fail to realize is that your subconscious mind acts more of like a kid; it will take and believe whatever you say about yourself.

Next time you are about to say something negative about yourself stop and try and focus on something negative. After all, with every negative thought and work you say yourself this will eat into your self-confidence.

  1. Mindfulness and meditation

To some, it comes as a surprise having mediation and mindfulness as a way to increase your confidence. Well, given the fact that confidence is build up based on what you think then meditation and mindfulness become a very effective way to increase your confidence.

It’s for a fact; we cannot always ensure that we refrain from negative thoughts completely. This is where mindfulness steps in and helps limit our uncontrolled negative beliefs and thoughts.

On the other hand, meditation helps you get aware of your emotions and thoughts. You have to be aware of yourself to know the right time when you need a self-talk or whenever something negative starts to build up.

On a personal level, I recommend insight meditation since it is easy to perform and is very effective.

  1. Clearing energy blocks

Basically, energy blocks are any inner believes we have that hinder us from having self-confidence.

If you are in a situation where you think and feel that you can’t be in a position to do a certain thing simply because you feel that you are not good enough take it a negativity block that has to be cleared.

With the help of the various ways to clear negative thoughts, you should be in a position to work on your inner self and get your confidence levels back in check again.

  1. Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is the most effective way by which you can increase your confidence levels.

This method gives you a chance to communicate directly with your subconscious mind and in the process plant positive thing to raise your self-brand image.

Self-image is the picture we have created about ourselves on the subconscious mind can be altered.  Hypnosis allows you to communicate directly to your mind making it easy to alter this image.

How to do it:

  • With your eyes closed take deep breaths
  • With each breath try as much as possible to relax
  • On relaxing start counting from 10 dropping downwards.
  • Believe that by the time you reach zero you will be fully
  • On reaching zero take deep breaths then start saying positive things about yourself!
  • Repeat the statements over and over until you feel that you believe it.
  • After doing this start counting from 0-10 and as you progress starting bringing your mind to reality.
  • At the count of 10 open yourself.

I have ranked this method either based on a personal experience or my own research. The best method that I can recommend for you is hypnosis. It’s the best and it has worked wonders for me.
